We invite ALL users to share and enjoy the trails during this EARLY part of the winter season. Ski conditions are improving but marginal. To minimize conflict and maximize enjoyment for all, we kindly ask that you respect the following early winter season rules:
● Trails are open to ALL users (skiers, cyclists, hikers - including hikers with dogs) with some restrictions.
● All hiking, fatbiking, and snowshoeing routes begin and end at Junction D.
● Hikers, fatbikers, and snowshoers MUST stay off groomed/packed ski trails (skate or tracks) except in the signed corridor between the Burrow and Junction D to access their trails. While using this corridor please stay in the marked area to the left of the groomed/packed trail on the way to Jct D (and on the right on the way back to the Burrow).
● Dogs must be always leashed and under control. Please clean up after your dog.
● Use designated trails only and cross all nordic ski trails at right angle
● Skiing routes: Green, Blue, and Orange nordic ski routes.
● Hiking routes: Red and Pink nordic ski routes.
● Fatbiking and snowshoeing routes: Red, Pink, Purple and all fatbike trails.
● Snowshoers and hikers yield to skiers and step aside for fatbikers.
● Fatbikers must yield to all other users.
● Please navigate the trails in the direction signed.
The rules remain in effect until our winter season officially starts. At that time cycling (fatbikes only) will be permitted on our fatbike trails only and hikers will be required to be on snowshoes and on snowshoe trails only. GNOAC does not permit dogs during our winter season. Absolutely no hiking on our trails without snowshoes during the winter season.
